RACHEL MARIE STONE is the author of Eat with Joy: Redeeming God's Gift of Food and a regular writer for Christianity Today's Her.meneutics blog. She enjoys gardening and meal-making with her husband and two sons.

CHARLES “CHIP” JONES is the manager of the Stratford Hall agricultural program. He is a frequent speaker on means to protect farmland and open space through grants of easements, estate planning, and other financial management strategies. He is a Gulf War veteran and graduate of Virginia Tech with a degree in agricultural and applied economics.

MARTHA STAFFORD is the owner and instructor of The Charlottesville Cooking School, leading hands-on cooking classes intended for beginners, individuals with a love of cooking and professionals seeking to improve their skills.

TRANSFORMING LOCAL FOOD SYSTEMS-- Dominic Barrett (Shalom Farms), the Rev. Cass Bailey and Martha Morris (Bread and Roses) share how they are addressing food education and food access in their communities through a sustainable urban farm and a community kitchen and garden.

GARDENING AS A SPIRITUAL DISCIPLINE—Samantha Taggart  advocates for gardening not only as a way to grow one’s food, but also as a way that one can grow spiritually, to become closer to God and more like God.

THE CHURCH’S FEEDING MINISTRIES—Buck Blanchard, Director of Mission & Outreach for the Diocese of Virginia, shares about the many food-growing and food-sharing ministries in the Diocese of Virginia and overseas.
